"I scheduled a December 3rd official visit to North Carolina State," remarked Clemson already, so I'm not going to take a visit there again, I don't think. So Auburn and I don't know the last two. I'm going to take the last two, I just haven't decided where yet."
Stamper currently lists the four aforementioned schools as his favorites, with no clear cut leader.
"I wouldn't say any school stands above the rest," stated Stamper. "But North Carolina, North Carolina State, Clemson and Auburn are my favorites.
"With Auburn, I like Coach [Joe] Whitt. To me, he's the best linebacker coach in college football right now.
"Clemson, I like it up there. I like the team, I like the coaches. One of my teammates committed up there he's in my class [Tight End] Brandon Croley.
"North Carolina State, I like it because I have always kind of liked North Carolina State. I can play pretty early there. North Carolina and North Carolina State are right down the street, so you know it's a nice city, nice environment. I would like to live there.
"North Carolina, I like the coaches, nice community. On my official visit, I liked the people, I liked the facilities."
Stamper, who has camped at Auburn this summer, plans to take quite a few unofficial visits in addition to his official visits schedule. On tap for Stamper is a trip to South Carolina this weekend, and an eventual stay at Georgia Tech.
The first four games of his senior season, Stamper racked up 62 tackles, three sacks and two fumble recoveries, but sustained a broken thumb in the fifth game that might force him to miss a good bit of the rest of the season.
