Accompanied by his parents, the 6-foot-4, 175-pounder gave his game evaluations from his latest unofficial. "I went up [to N.C. State] Saturday," stated James. "My parents really wanted to go to that game. The game was good, I thought N.C. State played well the first half. The second half, after Miami started scoring they couldn't come back, but it was a good game."
Despite making various unofficial campus stops over the past few months, James hasn't put too much emphasis on his recruitment just yet. The Scout.com two-star prospect is primarily focused on his senior season as well as his schoolwork. However, after things settle, James hopes to start taking his official visits.
"I haven't planned for anything," explained James in regards to official visits. "Right now I'm doing my senior project and that takes up a lot of my time. I'm waiting for things to clear up."
Though James might not be putting so much effort into his recruitment, his mind is very much on it. Currently, he is strongly favoring three schools, but considers all three to be on equal footing despite being a N.C. State fan.
"I like three: Virginia Tech, Georgia, and N.C. State," remarked James, who has offers from each of those schools except the Bulldogs. "I don't really have a leader. I will just look at the colleges that have given me scholarships. I'll line them up and then when the time comes for me to pick one I will pick one."
James continues to be a receiving threat despite facing double and triple teams. On the year, James has recorded 33 catches for 729 yards and 13 touchdowns.
