I felt at home on the court. It felt normal... it felt like I was suppose to be out there.
We came out and played hard in the first half. In the second half I don't know what happened. We kind of fell back and quit rebounding.
Seems like you guys had some problems shooting free throws.
Yes. We'll fix that.
What type of role do you see for yourself right now?
I come in for Levi [Watkins] at the four, and I try to give him a breather. My role is to pretty much rebound. Anything to help the team win.
How is it playing with a guy like Julius Hodge?
It's encouraging. It's always good when you make a play, and the ACC Player of the Year pats you on the butt and says good job. That boosts your confidence a whole lot.

Thoughts on Tony Bethel:
Tony's got a real good jump shot, and I've been telling everyone that we complement each other.
He hooked me up on a couple of passes, and I did the same for him at the three-point line. He knocked them in.
How does his leadership style mesh with yours?
I think it's kind of a good guy-bad guy leadership role on the court. I'll be the guy up in their faces... the loud and vocal leader. Tony will come right behind and tell them what I meant and what they need to work on. We switch the role sometimes.
Tony's a very good player and a great addition to the team. We're going to continue to gel and this is just a little taste of what we have.
I see some real good things for the NC State basketball team this year.
Do you think Herb was happy he came out here? He was a little under the weather.
Coach was a little bit under the weather, but he always tells us there are no excuses. He was in our huddles telling us what to do.
