The reasoning behind making a decision was quite simple, according to Coach Kirby.
"Because he wants to play for the Wolfpack, and me being a NC State fan, I'm as happy as I can be.
"I think he's going to visit (officially) in December. He has a in-home visit in December, and he has already been to NC State once or twice to a game, but I don't know if he has set up anything. He'll probably go to a basketball game or something in January as well."
"Everybody wants to play but I'm not too worried about that because I know everyone has to get better," Barbee previously told Steve Williams of PackPride.com. "I kind of want to stay, not too close to home but not too far away either. I've been up there a lot and I like the atmosphere and I just like where it's at."
The Andy Barbee commitment is the eighth for the Pack, and third along the offensive line.
