A New Quarterback on the Radar?

NC State has a commitment from Fort Lauderdale (Fl.) star Mike Greco and is also pursuing Elizabethtown (Ky.) standout Chris Todd. However, it appears another quarterback is also on the radar.

Bill Stull, a 6-foot-3, 190-pound quarterback from Pittsburgh (Seton-LaSalle) is a 4-star prospect and the 19th best gunslinger in the nation according to Scout.com. We checked in with the talented quarterback prospect, whom sounded off on numerous topics including a new team that has emerged from the ashes.

"Maryland offered me a scholarship," Bill Stull of Seton Lasalle High School in Pittsburgh said late Thursday. "Its another pretty big school offer, so I'm pretty excited."

Maryland has moved itself into a distinguished group of scholarship offers that includes North Carolina, Akron, Wisconsin, and Indiana.

"NC State dropped by my school today to watch some film on me," Stull explained. "They have seen me play before, but they said they are going to evaluate me and decide if maybe they are going to offer. If they offered, they would be up there with Maryland and Kentucky."

The talented senior quarterback has also received a lot of interest from Ole Miss, LSU, and Florida State, in addition to North Carolina State.

The Wildcats of Kentucky, however, have the first official visit on December 10th. "They're top on the list," Stull exclaimed. "I'm just glad I can finally get down (to Kentucky). We set it up a couple of times and we just couldn't get down there because of my season. I'm just real glad that recruiting's coming together now."

"I've got an official visit set up with (Maryland) for the weekend right after Kentucky," Stull reinterated. "I will definitely take 5 official visits and go through the process. I should be deciding around the signing period."

Stull for the season, completed 239 of 387 for 3310 yards and 40 touchdown's. He also rushed for 6 scores, while completing 62% of his passes in 2004.

"Obviously, I feel a little bit empty with not being able to win state, but we had a great season - 13 wins, undefeated regular season, champions of WPIAL. It's been awesome - everything I wished for and more."

Stull finished his season as the first quarterback in WPIAL history to pass for over 3,000 yards - a statistic even Joe Namath, Johnny Unitas, Dan Marino, Mark Bulger and a host of other great quarterbacks could not do.
