Quote of the Day:"I believe this one was the State-Duke game in Reynolds Coliseum. We always had the coaches evaluate the officials after every game. Ten was the highest mark, and then all the way down to zero.

So Jimmy gets beat in a close game and there's a big call at the end that went Duke's way. In Reynolds the officials always ran off the court the same way Jimmy's team left the court, right past his bench. So now they've made a big call at the end and State's lost the game and the refs are trying to get their fannies out of there and quick.

But Jimmy's hot and he's trying to get to them and he's hollering at [referee Lennie] Wirtz, "Hey, Lennie, Lennie!" So Lennie's shuddering. He's trying to escape and get into the refs' locker room. But Lennie stops and says, "Yeah, Coach?" Jimmy shouts, "Just wanted you to know I'm giving you guys a 10!"

Lennie can't believe it. State has just lost the game on one of his calls. He shouts back, "Thanks a lot, Coach!" And Jimmy says, "And... you three f*&#ing guys can take that 10 and divide it up anyway you want!" - Excerpt from V & Me
