First Stop Raleigh

Marietta (Ga.) Wheeler tailback Richie Rich opened up his official visit schedule this past weekend with a trip to Raleigh.

The 5-foot-9, 181-pounder liked his N.C. State visit, but still remains open for the most part.

"I really liked it was real cool," remarked Richie Rich. "I met the players and everything. And I saw the facilities and everything. I checked out the campus and stuff."

Rich will continue his official visit schedule on December 17th to Minnesota. He also plans to officially visit Auburn on January 21st. That will leave two official slots open.

"For my last two, [I'm considering] North Carolina and I'm not sure yet," explained Rich. "Maybe Kentucky."

Although he doesn't have a leader, Rich considers the five aforementioned as his current favorites. He doesn't figure to make a decision or even name a leader until after taking all five of his official visits.

Rich's senior season didn't go as well as planned. Wheeler High School went 2-8, and the three-star prospect had to deal with running behind a young offensive line and a high ankle sprain suffered in the first game that bothered him throughout the year. Regardless Rich still amassed the 1,000 yard mark.
