NC State hosted LB Avery Vogt this weekend and he made it clear that the visit was a huge success. He followed that up today with a commitment to NC State today. With the Pack in dire need of LB's, his commit went a long way towards helping to solidify the spot in the future. Vogt talked with Pack Pride about his commitment.
"I called coach Holliday first and then I talked to coach Amato to let them know I had committed," said Vogt. "I guesss the thing that made it was that visit this weekend. I just loved the players, the atmosphere, the coaches, basically everything about it.
Vogt added that the opportunity for playing time was a huge sell as well.
"Really, the main thing is I feel like I can go in there and get some playing time."
With his decision made, Vogt wasn't shy about saying that he has no problem with taking on the role as recruiter for the Wolfpack.
"I'm definitely going to be trying to bring those boys (Dorian Munroe and Eric Houston) with me up to NC State and really, it's looking good- especially with Eric. But really, I think there's a good chance at getting both."
Vogt projects as a full academic qualifier. He had nearly two dozen scholarship offers from teams such as N.C. State, Ohio State, West Virginia, Florida, Rutgers and Clemson.
