At 6-4, 180 pounds and 4.5-second speed in the 40, James would add another dimension to the Pack's wide receiver repertoire. He has the combination of speed, long arms and jumping ability that could potentially make him a huge factor in the passing game for years to come. James talked about his visit to NC State.
"I really had a good time," he said. "It went great and I ate well. Gerard Miller hosted me and I got a chance to go around and see a lot of the stuff that I hadn't got a chance to see before.
"At the end I got a chance to sit down with coach Amato. It was nice to be able to sit down with him and feel comfortable when we were talking. That's important so we can have a good working relationship. Right now, State is my top choice."
While many thought it possible James would pull the trigger on a commitment to the Wolfpack this weekend, the speedy wide out has decided to take at least a couple more trips before making a decision and added that his commitment could still be a ways off.
"I'm going to UNC next weekend for an official visit and then I've got Virginia Tech on Jan 28. I'm thinking I may go all the way up until signing day before I make a decision.
