The flu-like symptoms that weakened N.C. State junior point guard Tony Bethel and limited his playing time the past two weeks were caused by a treatable intestinal disorder, the university's sports information office announced Wednesday. A transfer from Georgetown, Bethel underwent medical tests Monday and has been diagnosed with colitis, an acute or chronic inflammation of the membrane lining of the large bowel. The illness is frequently accompanied by abdominal pain, diarrhea, fever and fatigue. Read More
