RALEIGH — Before North Carolina State and Temple began Saturday afternoon's game, Temple scoring whiz Lynn Greer issued a warning to Wolfpack freshman Julius Hodge.
That was a big mistake.
Hodge, along with senior Anthony Grundy and junior Clifford Crawford, held Greer to four points on 0-for-11 shooting as N.C. State decimated the Owls 80-61 in a non-conference game at the Entertainment and Sports Arena. The victory in front of 15,167 fans gave N.C. State (16-4) its best 20-game start in 26 years.
