In the pre-game on Saturday, Temple guard Lynn Greer talked smack to NC State's Julius Hodge. As we have witness this year, Hodge plays for such moments, whether it be a head check to Syracuse's Shumpert, shoulder rolls to the UVa students, or blowing kisses to the UNC-Ch crowd. Some things are special, and having this New York Attitude around NC State's basketball team is just that, PRICELESS!

Freshman locks up Temple guard in Wolfpack triumph

RALEIGH — Before North Carolina State and Temple began Saturday afternoon's game, Temple scoring whiz Lynn Greer issued a warning to Wolfpack freshman Julius Hodge.

That was a big mistake.

Hodge, along with senior Anthony Grundy and junior Clifford Crawford, held Greer to four points on 0-for-11 shooting as N.C. State decimated the Owls 80-61 in a non-conference game at the Entertainment and Sports Arena. The victory in front of 15,167 fans gave N.C. State (16-4) its best 20-game start in 26 years. Temple (6-12), which has reached the NCAA Tournament 12 straight seasons, lost its fourth game in a row. Read more...
