Hannah Announces Final Decision

Jonathan Hannah, the number five tight end in the nation, announced today at a press conference at his Hope Mills (N.C.) South View High School library that he will be a Hokie.

"I'm going to Virginia Tech, I'm going to be a Hokie," said the 6-foot-5, 255-pounder.

Hannah, who took all five visits, ultimately came down to a final four schools of Virginia Tech, N.C. State, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

"I had a good feeling about Virginia Tech all along, but when Coach [Frank] Beamer and the coaches visited last Wednesday, that really put me over," Hannah told Inside Carolina after making his announcement. "They brought some film of how they like to use their tight ends and they said they thought I would be able to do great things. I just got a good feeling that I could be there four years and enjoy it."

The commitment is the first tight end prospect for the Hokies, and second commitment from the state of North Carolina this year.
