Quote of the Day: "He ( Jordan Hemby) wants to be at both places (North Carolina and Florida). I wouldn't drop off the face of the earth if he went to State. He likes them all. I would not fall over dead (if he picks N.C. State) because he really, really, really likes Coach (Todd) Stroud (the N.C. State assistant recruiting him). I really would hate to hazard a guess. It's torn everybody up around here. He's showing some stress, there's no doubt about it. He's a good person. He's not doing this for attention. He's very quiet. He deflects attention; he doesn't like it. It's all been kind of hard on him. He'll make a decision and we'll live with it." - Tim McMahon, Hemby's coach at Freedom High School

Marc Trestman was recently named NC State's new offensive coordinator, returning to the college game after spending 17 years coaching in the NFL, most recently as the offensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins. He's helped the University of Miami win a national championship in 1983, and he's been to the NFL playoffs 15 times, twice advancing to the AFC Championship game and going to the Super Bowl in 2002 with the Oakland Raiders. He was named the 2002 NFL Offensive Coordinator of the Year. Now, he's ready to settle in and install his version of the West Coast offense here. Trestman is still figuring out the logistics of his family's move to the Triangle, but he is excited about starting work with Coach Chuck Amato and his staff on Monday. He recently talked to gopack.com's Tim Peeler about his NFL background and the offensive philosophy he will bring to the Wolfpack. Read More

When the North Carolina Tar Heels walked out of the Pepsi Center with a 78-75 loss to the Texas Longhorns in the second round of the NCAA tournament last year, the team's shortcomings were certainly exposed. The Longhorn bench outscored Carolina's 34-7. Last season, the Tar Heels suffered from a lack of depth. Only going about seven deep into their lineup most games, fatigue and foul trouble plagued the team all season long. Read More
