Since 1992, nine teams have finished 8-8 in conference play. Seven have received NCAA bids. Only Virginia in 1992 and Georgia Tech in 1995 were left out. That's what makes the final week of ACC play such a critical one for five teams clustered in the middle of the conference standings.
