The irony of going all the way to Worcester, Mass., to play UNC Charlotte in the NCAA Tournament wasn't lost on N.C. State coach Herb Sendek. "We might have saved some trouble and just played in Greensboro," the Wolfpack coach said Sunday. Actually, Sendek would have been just as glad to play the 49ers in Antarctica as long as it meant being in the NCAA field. For much of the season, the Pack looked as if it wouldn't make it at all.
