"I got my first offer from NC State, actually. I called one of the coaches, he had been trying to get in touch with me, and he told me over the phone," says the 5-foot-11, 215 pounder. "As far as the schools I'm looking at, I would say Virginia Tech, NC State, North Carolina, Florida State, and UVa, and there's more than that."
With a set of guidelines in finding the right school, much of Adams' decision will be off the playing field.
"First of all, I want to look at what best fits me, like what I like to do. Academics, if they're strong, will I fit in. Basically, just small picky things. Weather is not a factor to me, and distance is not a factor."
Adams plans to major in sports management, which will play into making his final choice, but he is not completely set on that major.
"Sports management, but I really would like to get into physical therapy. I took a few classes in high school and I think that I would like to do that."
Adams plans to attend the U.S. Army All-American regional combine at Duke in April.
