Junior to Watch -- S/LB Donkay Degraffenreid

Pack Pride profiles S/LB Donkay Degraffenreid, one of SC's most productive defenders over the last three seasons.

Junior to Watch- S Donkay Degraffenreid

5-10, 185 pounds, 4.5-seconds in the 40

Rock Hill (SC) High School

If you're looking for a prospect that simply gets results then there are few better than Degraffenreid. Lining up as a linebacker in high school, Degraffenreid had an eye-popping 130 tackles, 20 tackles-for-loss, five sacks, four fumble recoveries, one interception and five quarterback hurries in 2004. He has started 43 consecutive games and helped lead Rock Hill to state championships in 2002 and 2004. Although likely too small for linebacker in college, the rising senior will get plenty of looks as a defensive back and if he can prove his speed and show the ability to get out in pass coverage- could get several offers before all is said and done. NC State will surely be watching as they've already offered teammate David Erby.
