Costner Anxious For NC State Experience

McDonald's All-American Brandon Costner is ready for another challenge.

Seton Hall Prep forward Brandon Costner, coming off a very successful season, views the next couple of months as an opportunity to get ready for a big challenge. Costner, who has signed a letter of intent with North Carolina State, also recently competed at the McDonald's All-American game in South Bend, Indiana.

"There were a lot of great players there," Costner said. "It was fun. It was a good experience."

Costner's next big experience will be in ACC territory as he prepares himself to play for the North Carolina State program.

"I am going down to North Carolina State on July 6th," Costner said. "I am looking forward to it. It's going to be a challenge and it's going to be fun."

Brandon, listed as 6-foot-9, may also have some growing to do. His dad is about 7-feet. "A doctor told me I could grow to 7-foot-2," Costner stated. "I don't know if that's going to happen."

But even if Costner adds another three inches to his frame, this will make him an even more effective player. Brandon already has the skills to drop down jumpers and to have more size in his game will only make him a more dangerous offensive player.

"I have been working on getting stronger and quicker," Costner said. "That's what I will try to do before I move down to North Carolina State."
