SCOUTING REPORT: Cash is a high-motor guy who plays 100% all-out on every play. He's similiar to the Wolfpack's John McCargo in that he will be a bit undersized at defensive tackle, but his athleticism, quickness, and strength should allow him to excel. He's a great pick-up for NC State and could contribute early.
COACH QUOTE: "He's the younger brother of Lamont Abrams, who was a running back for us, so he's got good bloodlines. He's a good athlete who does a lot of things for us. We play him at tight end, fullback, defensive line, and inside linebacker. He played inside linebacker against LC Bird in the state playoffs and finished with 16 tackles." – Varina Head Coach Gary Chilcoat
AMATO QUOTE: "Although he may not be as well-known, he is a very physical and very aggressive player. He has played with his hand on the ground and we are looking forward to having him in our program."
CASH QUOTE: "It was like home to me. All the players were good to me, and I really liked hanging out with John McCargo, my host. He's from Virginia too so it was cool chilling with him."
