The Boston College staff talked to John about the Eagles upcoming play in their debut season in the ACC.
"They are real excited about playing in the ACC. They are excited about playing the best schools. I think they will be up there. They have a top team. I think they will do well. The first year for them is crucial."
Lubischer's next visit will be to Raleigh.
"I'm going to NC State to check out the campus and make a quick tour. I am going sometime in July. I talked to Coach (Stroud) and he told me anytime after July 11th would be good. I want to see how the visit goes to NC State. They are definitely high on my list. They are definitely up there as a top choice. The coaches said they are in dire need of a tight end. They like my playing ability, and I can step in and play pretty early."
Lubischer continued to explain why NC State is one of his top schools.
"It is a beautiful school and beautiful area. One of my best friends, Mike Greco, is going there. It is a great program and I would love to play for a winning program like NC State. It's an attractive school."
John would like to make a college choice sooner rather than later in the recruiting process.
"I am not sure yet if I am going to make the early decision. If I am not going to make it before the season starts, I am going to make it early in the season. I am not going to wait all the way until the end."
The ACC looks to be in a strong position to land the Florida tight end. Besides NC State and Boston College, John hopes to visit Clemson this summer as well.
"The ACC is the best football conference in the country in my opinion."
Lubischer will soon return home and start back playing with his Boca Raton teamates. "After I take my vacation to see my family, I am heading back tomorrow back to Florida to start 7-on-7s and to work out."
Lubischer has earned scholarship offers from NC State, Rutgers, and Duke. As a junior he piled up 40 tackles and two sacks on defense and 110 yards receiving on offense.
