NC State Wins! The Wolfpack advances to round 2 of the 2002 NCAA Tournament. The Pack scored a season low 18 points in the first half but Michigan State saw a 51 point explosion in the second half as the NC State won the game going away 68-57. Julius Hodge was CBS's MVP, by scoring 14 of his 16 points in the final half.
