Bond is working some at halfback, but mainly wide receiver, the position he plans to play on the next level.
"I'm playing receiver now," he said. "I just like it. It's just something I've always wanted to play. I can get in space and make people miss.
"Virginia Tech is recruiting me for cornerback, and Clemson is recruiting me for the running back. The other colleges want me at wide receiver."
This weekend Bond will be in Raleigh for NC State's season opener against Virginia Tech. Bond gave his thoughts on how he feels the game will turn out.
"I think NC State is going to win by a touchdown," he said. "I think Tramain Hall is going to have a good game. He's my favorite player for them. I like him because he's similar to me. Their defensive ends are good too."
On the recruiting scene, Bond maintains the same list of favorites. Now with an offer from North Carolina, he currently has a solid top five.
"NC State, Miami, UVA, Virginia Tech, and UNC is my top five," he said. "I like their programs the best."
He gave his thoughts on NC State's program.
"They've got great coaches to be around," Bond said. "It seems like a great place to be."
Bond plans on taking an unofficial visit to Virginia Tech and also Virginia for the Cavaliers home game against Georgia Tech.
He admitted that he is in no rush to make a decision and plans on deciding either during his senior season or shortly thereafter.
Bond Quotable: "I just like to make plays. Colleges are recruiting me at wide receiver, and that's where I want to play. I want the ball in my hands."
Coach's Comment: "He can do just about anything. He's very dangerous when he gets the ball in his hands, he catches really well, he's an excellent return guy, but his open field running ability might be the best that I've ever seen. He's very elusive, and has great change of direction." -- Hertford County Head Coach Greg Watford
