Dominic Mejia announces for the Pack!

NC State basketball got help in the backcourt for 2002/03. On Friday at 3:30 at the Coliseum in Voorhees, NJ, Dominic Mejia (PG/SG 6'4 190) said yes to the Pack and chose to play in Raleigh for Coach Herb Sendek.

Dominic is the 4th recruit for the Pack from the class of 2002. He will be joined in Raleigh by future teammates Adam Simons (C 7'0" 215), Cameron Bennerman (SG/SF 6'4" 195)and Justin Flatt (SG 6'4" 185).

He is expected to see immediate playing time at each guard spot vacated by Archie Miller and All-ACC guard Anthony Grundy. Dom has been praised for his leadership skills as well as his overall basketball abilities.

Mejia was named 2002 Player of the Year by the New Jersey Star-Ledger. He also was named to the first team New Jersey All-State. His Senior season saw him average 23 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals per game.
