Closer Look: EKU -- Defensive Statistics

After grading the game film, NC State released the official stats from the Wolfpack's win against Eastern Kentucky. Here are the defensive statistics from week two.

Defensive Linemen
Mario Williams

Williams played 41 snaps against Eastern Kentucky and recorded two tackles, two pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and one blocked punt.

John McCargo
McCargo tallied four tackles and two quarterback pressures after playing 41 snaps. McCargo recorded three solo tackles and one tackle for loss.

Manny Lawson
Lawson played 37 snaps and finished with four tackles (two solos) and five quarterback pressures.

DeMario Pressley
Pressley played just 12 snaps against Eastern Kentucky, leaving with an ankle injury. He is cleared to play against North Carolina.

Tank Tyler
Tyler finished with four total tackles after playing 29 snaps.

Martrel Brown
Brown played 23 snaps against the Colonels, totaling two solo tackles.

Renaldo Moses
Moses played 35 snaps against the Colonels, finishing with seven tackles (six solos), three tackles for loss, one sack, and two quarterbcak pressures.

John Amanchukwu
'John Wu' played eight snaps and recorded one tackle against Eastern Kentucky. It was the first action of his career at NC State.

John Bedics
Bedics played the first snaps of his career, finishing with two tackles on 21 plays.

James Martin
Martin played for the first time in two seasons, as he redshirted last year with a knee injury. The redshirt sophomore had five tackles (three solos) on 29 snaps.

Gerard Miller
Miller, who has been moved back to defensive tackle after moving to offensive guard this fall, played six snaps against EKU and recorded a tackle. The redshirt freshman played the first snaps of his college career.

Stephen Tulloch

Tulloch played 53 snaps against Eastern Kentucky and led the Wolfpack with eight tackles, including three solos. Tulloch also notched one tackle for loss and a quarterback sack. The junior also had five quarterback pressures.

Oliver Hoyte
Hoyte tallied six tackles and a forced fumble after playing 15 snaps. Two of his tackles were solos.

Ernest Jones
Jones played sixteen snaps, finishing with 5 tackles (two solos).

Lerue Rumph
Rumph was in on 27 plays and finished with four tackles, one quarterback pressure, and a fumble recovery.

Pat Lowery
Lowery was very productive against EKU, registering four solo tackles, three tackles for loss, a quarterback pressure, and a fumble recovery on 20 snaps.

Defensive Backs
Garland Heath

Heath played 46 snaps against Eastern Kentucky, notching four tackles.

Marcus Hudson
Hudson recorded three tackles and three pass breakups after playing 43 snaps.

Miguel Scott
Scott played 48 snaps against EKU, finishing with five tackles (four solos).

A.J. Davis
Davis played 35 snaps, registering two tackles and three pass breakups.

J.J. Jones
Jones had three tackles after playing 46 snaps. He had a tackle for loss and a quarterback sack.

Jimmie Sutton
Sutton was extremely productive against the Colonels. On 32 plays, the redshirt sophomore had two tackles, and four pass breakups.

Phillip Holloman
Holloman played 32 snaps against the Colonels and had a tackle.

Jeremy Gray
Gray received the first action of his career, playing 18 snaps against Eastern Kentucky. The redshirt freshman also had a tackle, an interception, the first of his career, and a pass breakup.

Levin Neal
The true freshman played 17 snaps and had a tackle and a pass breakup.

DaJuan Morgan
Morgan played 28 snaps against the Colonels, finishing with four tackles (three solos), one tackle for loss, one pass breakup, and an interception.

J.C. Neal
Another true freshman receiving the first action of his career, Neal was in on six plays and recorded a tackle.
