"Recruiting has been cool," Baskin told Pack Pride. "I have a lot of offers, but my list is down to Tennessee, Syracuse, and NC State. I cut that down a couple of weeks ago."
The trio of schools are recruiting Baskin very hard, as he pointed out that all three make their weekly calls. Is there a leader?
"Tennessee is my favorite," Baskin said. "They run a nice offense, and they like big receivers like myself. I think I'd fit in there."
Baskin hails from the same high school (Woodrow Wilson) that produced former Vol Rashad Baker and current UT defensive standout Turk McBride.
He was set to visit Tennessee for last week's Georgia game but had to reschedule because his own game was moved to Saturday. However, Baskin said he will take all of his official visits after the season and won't make a decision before doing so.
"After the season I'm going to take my visits," he said. "I'm probably going to wait until Signing Day before I pick my school. I'm going to look for a school with nice academics and a good team."
Although Tennessee is currently in the driver's seat, Baskin admitted his recruitment is far from over because NC State and Syracuse are intriguing options.
"I like all three of them a lot, not just Tennessee," he said. "There is just something about NC State that I like. I've always liked them. Coach Barry is recruiting me for NC State, and I think if I go there I could play as a freshman.
"Syracuse has a nice player-coach relationship. They have a new coach, and I think they are turning it around. I like the coaches there."
Woodrow Wilson High School is currently 2-2 on the season, and Baskin has caught five touchdowns.
