After a 31-10 loss to Clemson and with a few extra days to prepare for Saturday's game at Wake Forest, N.C. State likely will make a few changes. But one of the changes won't be at quarterback, NCSU coach Chuck Amato and offensive coordinator Marc Trestman say. Senior Jay Davis, who struggled against the Tigers in the Thursday night game, will continue to be the starter and sophomore Marcus Stone the backup. Stone entered the Clemson game in the fourth quarter. He had some zip on his passes, completing 4 of 5 for 42 yards, and ripped off a 23-yard run that included a nifty spin move near the sideline to dodge a defender. Read More

Allegations that Julius Hodge sexually assaulted a woman in Denver are shocking and "out of character" for the former N.C. State basketball star, athletics director Lee Fowler said Tuesday. "Julius was a model citizen in every way for four years, someone who did everything that was asked of him," Fowler said. Hodge, a first-round pick of the Denver Nuggets in this year's NBA Draft, is under investigation by Denver police for allegations he attempted to sexually assault a 37-year-old woman last week in his Denver condominium.
