ACC: Herb Sendek Audio

GREENSBORO, N.C. – NC State head coach Herb Sendek met with the media on Sunday during 2005 ACC Operation Basketball from the Grandover Resort. Listen to what Sendek had to say about his 2005-06 team.

Herb Sendek (18:35)

"Engin Atsur is very capable and really has occupied that spot his first two years with us. Like I said, we're very optomistic with regard to Tony's return and obviously those two guys can play together as well."

"I think Andrew certainly strikes a different appearance than he did a year ago."

"I'm expecting Cameron to have a very good senior year. He certainly finished last season playing some of his best basketball, and if we flash back to the beginning of last year he played very well for us."

"I think it was a good season for us. I thought our team demonstrated a good measure of resiliency and character in dealing with the circumstances that we had last year."

"I've been very blessed with the opportunity that I've had at NC State and I can assure you that I have never, even one day, taken that for granted. I recognize how fortunate that I have been. As I look back on it, I realize some of the distance that we had to travel, some of the things that I had to learn along the way, not that I'm done learning or growing.

"As I turn back the pages and think back to when I arrived a NC State from Miami of Ohio, I certainly had a great deal to learn. At that particular point I had a lot of things I had to find out... some the hard way."
