This morning's Red-White scrimmage marks the first public appearance by the Wolfpack in five seasons without Hodge, the 2004 ACC Player of the Year who led the Wolfpack in points, rebounds, assists and locker-room quotes last season. It's Now or Never for Wolfpack

At a time when the ACC races are heating up and the weather is cooling down, NC State (2-4) will be stepping outside the league this Saturday when it entertains Southern Mississippi (4-2) at Carter-Finley Stadium (noon kick off). But the fact that this weekend's match-up happens to be with a non-ACC opponent is irrelevant to the Pack. Winning is the only thing that matters; winning in front of the home fans and getting the long-awaited 150th all-time victory at Carter-Finley Stadium on homecoming could magically turn some of the frowns into smiles, regardless of who it comes against.
