Cedric Hickman is a bruising fullback currently at Hargrave Military Academy. The 6-3, 230 pound bruiser was a star at North Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem, NC last year but fell just short academically. This year has been a major cog in the Hargrave running game and better than 100 yards and five touchdowns despite limited opportunities carrying the ball. Several schools have inquired about Hickman, including NC State, and he gave us a quick update on his recruiting.
When do you plan to graduate from Hargrave and enroll in college?
"I plan on getting out in December whenever I get my score back from the ACT. That will be out next week sometime and I take the SAT on November 5th."
Have you received any offers yet and who are the main schools you're hearing from currently?
"I have a few offers. I'm hearing from Tennessee, NC State, Alabama and Florida"
Who are the schools you're considering right now?
"Tennessee, NC State and Alabama. They all have good programs and they love to run the ball."
What are your thoughts on NC State?
"We had a good time at the game (S Miss) but, yes, I'm looking at NC State right now. They're close to home. They have a nice running game. They're just missing one thing and that's a fullback so that's where I come in at."
