    Andrew Brackman --
    After gaining thirty pounds in the offseason, Brackman is physically stronger and poised to have a huge sophomore season. The 6'10 forward was impressive in the Wolfpack's two exhibition games.

    Stetson
    Anthony Register --
    Register is just 25 points shy of the 1000-point milestone. As a junior he earned second-team all-conference honors after averaging 16.1 points per game. He scored in double figures in 26 of the team's 27 games, including the last 21 in a row.

  • Stetson was picked to finish seventh in the Atlantic Sun Conference preseason coaches poll.

  • Stetson will benefit from nine returners including four starters from last year's team. The only starter the Hatters need to replace is graduated center Borislav Djordjic, who is playing professionally in Sweden this year.

  • NC State missed the ESPN/USA Today coaches preseason ranking by one spot, as the Pack is listed at 26th. In the Associated Press' preseason rankings, the Wolfpack is listed as the third team receiving votes.

    NC State, which finished last season with a visit to the Sweet 16, is picked 15th in Blue Ribbon's preseason ranking and is listed at 16th in the scout.com/Fox Sports poll.

  • The Wolfpack posted two victories in exhibition action this season, a 75-46 victory over the University of Guelph on November 4 and a 97-56 win over Mount Olive College on Nov. 11.

    In the first exhibition outing, sophomore forward Andrew Brackman led the team with 13 points on 4-6 shooting from the field. and a 5-7 outing from the line. He was also the game's leading rebounder with seven. Cameron Bennerman led the way against Mt. Olive, scoring 18 on 5-5 shooting from the field (1-1 on three's) and going 7-10 from the line.

    The Wolfpack averaged 16 turnovers in the two games, while dishing out 17.5 assists.

  • All three of NC State's freshmen saw frequent action in the exhibition games. Forward Ben McCauley averaged 12 points in 19.5 minutes, shooting 70 percent (7-10) from the field and going to the line 14 times. Forward Brandon Costner scored 9.5 points in an average of 21.5 minutes, hitting 10 of his 12 free throw attempts. Guard/forward Courtney Fells was in for an average of 18 minutes, scoring an average 5.5 points and shooting 50% from the field.
