Pack Prospects In Action

Several of NC State's targets had huge games this past week and we break down all the action.

  • Cary RB Josh Adams rushed for just 65 yards on 18 carries but had two big pass completions for 66 yards and a score as the Imps stayed alive in the playoffs.

  • QB Rodney Cox's season came to end but he went out in style, rushing for 211 yards and two scores in a loss to Dudley.

  • Lee County TE Dennis Godfrey had three catches for 23 yards and a touchdown in a playoff win over S Durham.

  • Junior RB Carter Sharpe from EE Smith rushed 19 times for 156 yards and a score but lost to Jordan 31-12.

  • NC State commit Justin Burke completed 11 of 20 passes for 117 yards and no picks and had an eight yard TD pass and a one yard TD run as Lexington Catholic stayed alive in the playoffs, defeating Highlands High School 17-0.

  • NC State commit Nathan Franklin made all three of his extra point attempts but Hoggard lost to New Bern 31-25.

  • WR Owen Spencer had four catches for 44 yards but North Brunswick lost to Northside in the playoffs.

  • FB LaRon Graham rushed for 63 yards and a TD as Ely High School defeated Fort Pierce Central to advance in the state playoffs.

  • Orlando Edgewater WR Greg Mathews had five catches for 124 yards, in the fourth quarter, in a 27-24 win over Lake Brantley. Despite playing injured much of the game, Mathews finished with eight catches for 213 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown reception.

  • WR Sterlin James from N. Marion High School had touchdown receptions of 7 and 19 yards in a playoff win over Eustis High School.

  • RB/LB Emanuel Cook from Palm Beach Gardens had three touchdown runs in a win over Boone High School.

  • Crest LB Brandon Spikes had an interception as the Chargers defeated AC Reynolds in the playoffs.

  • Safety Rico Bell from Vance High School returned a blocked field goal 96 yards for a touchdown but his team lost to Myers Park to end the season.
