No Change For Wright

Super '07 point guard prospect Chris Wright had previously planned on taking an unofficial visit today, but that is no longer the case.

"NC State is playing my godbrother, he plays for VMI, and I was planning on making it down there," Chris Wright told Pack Pride. "But, I don't think I'm going to be able to get down.

"It would have been another chance to watch NC State, but I don't think I'll make it."

A 6-foot, 190-pound junior point guard at St. John's College (D.C.), Wright is looking at North Carolina State, Duke, Villanova, Kansas, DePaul, Texas, and Wake Forest.

He is visiting Villanova on December 3rd when the Wildcats square off against Oklahoma. The Wildcats are one of the nation's elite teams this season, and Wright attends the same high school as a pair of current Villanova players - Dwayne Anderson and Dante Cunningham.

"I like Villanova a lot too," he said. "It would be a good situation for me with their style of play."

When asked to name a leader, the four-star prospect didn't hesitate.

"It's still NC State," Wright said. "The coaching staff is great, and I've got to know them the best. It's a great situation for me, and I like everything about them."

However, Wright is taking his third unofficial visit to Villanova, the second in three months. Are the Wildcats narrowing the Wolfpack's lead?

"Well I don't know about all that," he said. "It will be I think my third trip to Villanova, and I like it there. But, I have a strong relationship with the coaches at NC State. They are still my favorite."

Wright is regarded by Scout.com as the No. 6 point guard and the No. 30 overall prospect in the 2007 class.
