Locker Room Report: Wolfpack Players

RALEIGH, N.C. -- NC State players met with the media following the Wolfpack's win over VMI.

Gavin Grant (2:19)

"VMI came out real strong, but I think that was good for us. It taught us a lesson. You can't take anybody for granted and you've got to play every game like its against Duke or Georgia Tech."

"We were able to get some stops, and offensively we were able to get back in the game."

"We should have rotated the ball and move the defense. They were packing it in. We were open but we just weren't knocking them down."

"I don't think we came out as ready to play as we had in the past."

Andrew Brackman (2:03)

"We had to just hold the ball on offense more and make sure we get a better shot. It was a good game. I think it showed us that we need to run our offense and play our defense."

"Anytime you can find two guys that can work together in the post, it's always good."

"He's a whole different player. Last year he really didn't get a chance to get on the floor because we had Jordan and some other guys. Now that he gets on the floor and knows he has to contribute, I think he just puts it on his shoulders and shines."

"It's kind of hard. We play a big team in Notre Dame... you can't overlook any team, and they jumped out to a big lead. We didn't panic. We just kept with our stuff, came back, and pulled out a victory."

Ilian Evtimov (1:31)

"If there is one thing we need to do this year to win basketball games, that is to have an inside presence. Ced and Andrew are two big guys, very skilled, with tremendous athletic abilities. We need to give them the ball. We need to play off them guys if we want to have open shots on the exterior."

"They have to double.. they have to do something. If they don't we are going to score inside."

"Coach got us together, adjusted, told us what we needed to do. We were more patient."
