Andres Morales has witnessed firsthand what a run through the state playoffs can mean for a high school football recruit.

Morales and his teammates at Liberty High in Bethlehem, Pa, will square off against North Penn on Saturday in the PIAA Class AAAA Eastern Finals. The Hurricanes will be playing for a spot in next weekends state finals.

Morales has benefited greatly as he has four new offers in the last two weeks, the most recent was on Thursday afternoon as the NC State Wolfpack came calling.

"Coach Williams came to my school to visit and he offered me a scholarship," Morales said. "It was a little surprising, they had talked about it before, but I didn't know if they would actually offer."

Morales is fairly familiar with the Raleigh campus, he took an unofficial there over the summer.

"They have great facilities and a great program. They also have lots of players on the team from the Lehigh Valley."

Missouri, Connecticut, and Toledo have all offered recently as well. Morales had scheduled an official visit to Missouri but that is likely to change.

"I'll probably go to NC State now (1/14) instead."

At this stage of the game according to Morales it is likely a two horse race for his services.

"It's Rutgers and NC State right now."
