It's no secret that NC State likes to raid the talent-rich state of Florida, especially for skill position prospects.
Over the summer it appeared as though the Pack had a strong lead for one of the top safeties in the Sunshine State. Since then they seemed to have cooled on the versatile Jeremy Terry.
"NC State was recruiting me pretty hard for a while, but I haven't heard from them as much lately," said Terry. "I'm still interested in them though. If they decide to offer me they'll definitely be high on my list."
The 6-1, 190-pound prospect from Glades Central High School in Belle Glades, Florida has the ability to play safety or linebacker at the next level if he decides to bulk up. What other schools are actively recruiting Terry?
"I have offers from Kansas, South Florida and West Virginia right now. I think all of those schools have pretty good football programs. They should all be in bowl games this year, so I'll follow them."
Terry hasn't taken any official visits yet, and he's just getting ready to decide where to go.
"I'm going to sit down with my coach and come up with a top five. I'm going to have to put a lot of thought into that. If I get the feeling that NC State will have some interest in me then it's a place I'd like to visit. I should know where I'll be visiting within the next week or two."
Glades Central was just eliminated from the Florida state playoffs. What can Terry bring to the next level?
"I'm a hard-hitting player," said Terry. "I don't shy away from contact. I play real physical out there, and I've got some speed. I think I can contribute early on in my college career."
