"Man, it was great," Hickman said. "The best part was hanging with all of the guys. I got to know them. It was great to see how much they like it there at State."
Hickman's host was Wolfpack freshman Toney Baker, a player he could be blocking for next season.
"Toney Baker was my host," he said. "It was good to get to know Toney because if I commit to them I will get to block for him. He's one of their best running backs, and we talked about me playing there.
"Toney was saying how he would like to have a true fullback blocking for him on every play."
Hickman, who will enroll at the college of his choice in January, hopes to make a final decision this Friday. With offers from NC State, UCONN, ECU, and South Florida, he has also been hearing from Florida and Ole Miss.
"I talked with coach Amato before I left State," Hickman said. "I told him I'll be deciding for sure on Friday. That is my last day at Hargrave."
Hickman is rated the No. 45 running back in the country by Scout.com but projects as a fullback on the next level.
