Bowens: 'They've Been Recruiting Me Hard'

Pack Pride has the latest on wide receiver Donald Bowens and his interest in NC State.

NC State has been a relative newcomer in the recruiting battle for wide receiver Donald Bowens. Since the staff has gotten involved, however, they have made up a lot of ground.

The 6-3, 195-pound receiver from St. Petersburg High School in Florida has the size to overpower most smaller defensive backs and considers himself a physical player. How interested is he in NC State?

"My favorites right now are NC State, Iowa State, Rutgers, Indiana, South Florida, Ole Miss and maybe Nebraska. There are a lot of schools I'm still looking at. NC State only got involved with me about a month ago, but it's a place I'm definitely interested in."

In fact, the first official visit Bowens set up was to NC State. He plans on visiting Raleigh on January 13th, though that date is tentative.

"I don't know much about them at this point, but they've been recruiting me hard the last month. I like what I've heard from them so far. I'll probably take a couple of other visits, but I'm not sure where yet."

Bowens is not sure when he will make his decision, but it may be as late as Signing Day.
