Bowl Notes: Baker And Brown Form Tough Duo

RALEIGH, NC -- NC State head coach Chuck Amato met with the media today following a morning scrimmage.

Chuck Amato (3:29)

"It was a typical scrimmage that you have way back in two-a-days. We had penalties that weren't like normal. A bunch of second-stringers were involved in penalties."

"The defense got quite a few turnovers, but the offense scored quite a bit."

"He's daggone good. He's strong, he's got good vision, he's a battler. He's a good player and he does a great job on screens."

"He's pretty good... that's #1. Actually his yards per carry in the last two games, if I'm not mistaken, were better than Andre's were. He's worked and he deserves it.

"They kind of complement one another. Toney just hammers and breaks tackles. Andre's just kind of boom, boom, boom and accelerates and breaks tackles."

"He was? We were happy about it. That's the kind of young man he is. A young man goes to a prep school out of high school and right away people put a stigma on him.

"He goes to class, he uses the academic support staff, does what he's suppose to, he studies hard, and he made the Dean's List."
