Walker: 'I'm Undecided'

Homestead (FL) South Dade safety Jevon Walker committed to NC State, but he still had official visits remaining.

The two-star prospect visited South Florida this weekend. The Bulls, fresh off the program's first bowl appearance, did a great job of hosting the Wolfpack commitment.

"It was alright," Jevon Walker told Pack Pride. "I like the new buildings and the school. It was straight."

Walker was accompanied on the trip by teammate and Pack target Darin Baldwin. Baldwin, who has mainly been considering NC State and Florida throughout his recruitment, is now looking at South Florida and Central Florida as well.

"He liked it too up there," Walker said of Baldwin. "I don't know what he's going to do though."

Should Walker still be considered an NC State commitment?

"Right now, I'm undecided until next week," he said. "I'm going to take a little time and think some more. I can take some more visits, but that might be my last one."

A first-team All-Dade selection, Walker tallied more than 100 tackles as a senior. He also mentioned that NC State head coach Chuck Amato and assistant Todd Stroud would be coming for an in-home this week.

"They are coming by to see me," he said. "I think they want to talk about all the applications and paperwork and stuff like that. That's what they had told me before."
