NC State landed a huge in-state commitment this evening when WR LaMarcus Bond from Hertford County High School in Ahoskie, NC made a verbal pledge to the Wolfpack coaching staff. Pack Pride caught up with Bond for the latest.
"I committed to NC State tonight," said Bond. "Coach Amato came by my house and I told him I was coming to NC State. He was real happy when I told him.
"The thing that really sold me on State was the people there. I just felt really comfortable with everyone. I liked the players and they have great coaches and I know they'll help me graduate."
Bond had a visit scheduled for Virginia this weekend but that has since been cancelled.
"I'm not going to Virginia," he said. "I'm doing with my visits. I'm going to NC State."
Bond plans to major in Sports Marketing or Business when he arrives in college. He is rated a three-star prospect and the No. 11 player in North Carolina by SuperPrep magazine.
