Augustin: 'It Was Beautiful'

Oakland Park (FL) Northeast standout Audi Augustin visited NC State this weekend, and he was impressed with the Wolfpack.

"I thought NC State was beautiful," Audi Augustin told Pack Pride. "It was everything I thought it would be. I enjoyed my visit to NC State greatly.

"The facilities were amazing. They have a huge weightroom and it was even nicer than I thought it would be. I also liked talking with coach Amato and the other coaches. They made me feel real comfortable."

What was the highlight of his NC State visit?

"The players were the best part," said Augustin. "They brought me in and treated me like I was one of them. There was a lot of love there, and they showed a lot of loyalty.

"I had two player hosts. Demario Pressley and Willie Young hosted me. Demario was laid back, and Willie was crazy, I heard he was the craziest guy on the team. That was good because I'm a little like Demario, and I can be like Willie too. They talked about the program, and they are really cool people."

Augustin, who had offers from the likes of South Carolina, Rutgers, Oklahoma, and Michigan State before narrowing his list to the Wolfpack and Pittsburgh, did not commit on his trip.

He will sit down with his parents over the next couple of days and come up with a final decision.

"I'm probably leaning to NC State," Augustin said. "It's really the players with them. They drew me into what they are trying to accomplish up there.

"I think my parents still feel like they want me to go to NC State. I don't think my mom cares as much, just as long as I get an education, but my dad wants me to go to NC State. He thinks it is too cold up at Pitt. I don't think it's too cold though, I thought it was nice up there."

Augustin plans on announcing his decision this Wednesday at a press conference held at Northeast High School. The three-star prospect's press conference is set for noon.

"We're signing at noon on Signing Day," Augustin said. "I'm just going to talk with the press then and let them know of my decision.

"It's going to be tough. They are equal in a lot of ways. I think the atmosphere might be the biggest factor, and the school and teammates."
