Remember when N.C. State collapsed down the stretch in losses at Duke and North Carolina? Seems like a long time ago, doesn't it? Since then, when the basketball game has been tight in the closing minutes, the Wolfpack invariably has wound up on the winning side of the score. Heading into tonight's game at Miami, State is 6-1 this season in games decided by 10 points or less. Three of those wins -- a double-overtime nail-biter against Clemson, a two-point escape against Virginia and a four-point survival against Maryland -- have come in the last 10 days. Read More

Wolfpack Looks to Cool off `Canes

After their first meeting back on December 18th, NC State and Miami went their separate ways. Playing steady basketball, the Wolfpack built on its 81-69 victory over the Hurricanes and eventually locked itself into the No. 2 spot in the ACC standings. And although their trip to Raleigh resulted in defeat, the `Canes knew better days were in front of them since point guard Anthony Harris was finally returning from an injury. Better days indeed. With its backcourt trio of Harris, Guillermo Diaz and Robert Hite now hitting on all cylinders, Miami is threatening the Pack's stranglehold on second place.
