    Scouting Report - June 4, 2002:
    (Chris Pool * Pool Recruiting)
Look out! Here comes quarterback Brett Weyman. On film he looks like a cross between Brett Favre and John Elway. Weyman has the body of Favre and the quick release of Elway.

To put it plain and simple, Weyman is just a pure athlete. If he played hop scotch he'd be the best on the block. How else do you describe an individual that picked up a football for the first time in his life last year and absolutely tore the competition to shreads.

Weyman has had strength and speed coaching. He's also worked with a quarterback coach. However, there's nothing like game experience and Weyman shined right out of the gate.

Brett has a strong arm, quick release but he also shows a feathery touch. He sees the entire field and his pass drops are near flawless. Weyman can do it all. He throws great on the run and to either side of the field.

I looked at Brett Weyman's tape two or three times. His pocket presence is very good. He stands tall in the pocket and runs through all of his checks before releasing a bullet to an open receiver.

Brett Weyman is a definite D-1 football player and he'll be a candidate for the prestigious "Elite 11" quarterback camp held in California during the summer.
