Name: Jarvis Williams

Position: Wide Receiver
Vitals: 6'5/200/4.58

Notes: A dual-sport standout, Jarvis Williams was initially recruited as a Division-I basketball prospect, as he toured the AAU circuit with Team Florida, but later he turned his focus to football.

A relative unknown on the recruiting scene, Williams had a huge senior season. Checking in at 6-foot-5, 200-pounds, he tallied 40 catches and 10 touchdowns to earn all-conference and all-state honors.

Rated the No. 25 player in Florida by the Orlando Sentinel, Williams garnered scholarship offers from Boston College, Houston, Wake Forest, East Carolina, and Cincinnati before NC State extended an offer.

Jarvis Williams
Coach Quote: "He's got a great work ethic. He's such a great athlete. Cincinnati actually said he could play football and basketball, he's that good of an athlete.

"He's a very aggressive kid. He'll block, and he's got everything you're looking for in a wide receiver. Barring injury, I really think he's going to make it to the league." -- Jones High head coach Mike Cullison

Scouting Report: "Jarvis Williams finished up 2005 as one of Florida's most accomplished receivers. With 650 receiving yards, he was named all-state and district MVP. At 6-5, 200 pounds, Williams is a sizable target with remarkably quick feet for a player his height. He has tremendous focus and concentration on the ball and doesn't shy away from contact. Most impressive is that Williams always seems to be moving forward and squeezes every yard out of each reception. While he's not known as a burner, he does have the speed to outrun defenders once in the secondary and is somewhat reminiscent of former Pack wideout Brian Clark. Williams also excelled on defense and has the talent to play safety or eventually grow into an outside linebacker." -- Pack Pride Recruiting Analyst Steve Williams
