NC State committed four errors and left six runners in scoring position Friday in a 7-2 loss to UCLA, the first of a three-game series at Doak Field. The Wolfpack's first home loss of the season gives them a record of 13-2, while UCLA improves to 7-9 on the year and 4-3 on the road. UCLA jumped out to an early lead in the first inning. Jermaine Curtis got the inning started for the Bruins with a shot to center field for a triple. Chris Jensen followed Curtis and picked up an RBI when Jeremy Synan misplayed Jensen's sacrifice fly for an error.
