    Update - June 11, 2002: (Dave Telep *
Southeastern point guard Brandon Jenkins is making his first official visit on Tuesday. "He's at Louisville right now," Michigan Hurricanes head coach Chris Grier said. "As long as you are in school they can fly you in. He's doing so well that he doesn't have any finals today and he's able to go to Louisville."

Not only is he visiting the Cardinals, but there's a chance they can get it done. "Louisville is definitely the leader with Pittsburgh and NC State," Grier said. "He likes Texas. I don't know if he'll go that far. Maryland is very intriguing." Apparently, the Terps recently called to inquire about him.

"Brandon Jenkins, when this summer is over, will show everyone that he is one of the Top Four point guards in the country," Grier said of his leader. "With his size, athleticism and ability to score he'll do it.

"We don't win events that we won without Brandon Jenkins. He scores and he's the leader."

    Scouting Report - April 25, 2002: (Dave Telep *
The Michigan Hurricanes are hot and so is their point guard Brandon Jenkins. The 6-3 Jenkins has impressed onlookers in recent weeks on the AAU circuit. "We're rolling," Jenkins said. "I'm just playing my role on the team. I just want to win."

In playing well and of course winning, Jenkins has really upped his stock in the eyes of college recruiters. "There's a few more that are interested now," Jenkins said. Just this week, scouts from Louisville, Pittsburgh and Texas.

Add those teams to a list that already includes Michigan, Providence and Missouri and you have a pretty impressive gathering of schools in his corner.

Last season, Jenkins averaged 21 points and was a first-team all-stater. He plans on taking some official visits in the spring.
