Texas coach Rick Barnes says he'll have no problems trying to beat his former assistant today. "No, that doesn't bother me," said Barnes with a smile, referring to coach Herb Sendek's N.C. State Wolfpack, the Longhorns' opposition in the second round of the NCAA basketball tournament at American Airlines Center. "Because it wouldn't bother him either to have to beat me or my team." Barnes, a Hickory native who attended Lenoir-Rhyne, has a long history with Sendek and the two remain close friends. They met in the mid-1980s when Sendek was a student at Carnegie-Mellon and Barnes was a counselor at a University of Pittsburgh basketball camp.
