During his conversations with Bunting and his recruiting coordinator, John Gutekunst, Walker was told a possible UNC scholarship offer was pending positive feedback from his junior season film.
"They just talked to me about how they haven't gotten my film up there yet, but they should have it up there tomorrow so that they can offer me," said Walker.
Following the visit, Walker, who's a known N.C. State lean, said his perception of the Tar Heel program changed and the race for his February signature got a tighter.
"I feel a lot better about Carolina, to tell you the truth," said Walker. "Last time I came up there, I didn't really get to look at all the facilities and didn't really get to talk to coaches for one-on-one time, but I did all that this time.
"After going to Carolina I would put them up there [favorites wise], but State still [is my leader]. The way they treat me down there [at N.C. State], Coach [Steve] Dunlap – my recruiting coordinator – he's a nice guy, and I like the facilities, but at Carolina I like the coaches a lot – I'm going to say its going to be a tough decision after going to Carolina today."
A 6-foot-5 260-pound offensive tackle, Walker is a two-time all-conference selection for Ronda (N.C.) East Wilkes.
