"I was just offered by NC State last week, and I already had offers from Vanderbilt and East Carolina," Fischer said. "NC State is pretty high on my list because I considered them before they offered. I like the program, and I am going to visit them this Saturday (for their spring game)."
Fischer says that NC State and Vanderbilt are his top two schools at the moment, thanks in part to goal of becoming a strength and conditioning coach.
"I looked into their academics at their programs and they both have my major and their football teams are progressing every year."
While some may put the focus on the coaches at both schools, Fischer instead plan to look deeper on his visits.
"It is kind of important, but it is really about the education and not just the people. I also want to see the facilities, how the team does this year, and how they look going into next year."
Fischer graded out at ninety percent with 74 kickdown blocks en route to being named All-Area and second team All-State as a junior. At 6-foot-6 and 270 pounds, Fischer has the upside college coaches look for in an offensive line prospect.
