"Our head coach took us to NC State early in the morning, and as soon as we got there we got to talk with Coach Amato. He is a really nice guy in person, and really funny. He saw how we did at the Scout combine, and said he was impressed."
Culliver and Oglesby watched the safeties and found themselves somewhat surprised.
"They looked so much like us, physically. We looked at the drills they were doing, and we really liked them and talked about how we can use them. In fact we used some today."
The Wolfpack followed the visit with an offer to Culliver, who quickly committed. While Oglesby is still hoping for an offer, he is not discouraged that Culliver picked up an offer first.
"They just started recruiting me as a safety because State is packed with running backs, so they need to evaluate some more film."
Oglesby is not set on a position, and is willing to help out whatever would help the team. His confidence about picking up a new offer is continually helped by new hand-written letters every day.
"Wake Forest sent a letter, even though I haven had a chance to get to Winston Salem yet, but they said they were looking at the results at the combine. (North Carolina) Coach Browning just sent a hand-written letter today talking about how the spring game went and how sorry he was that I can't make it but they want me to come up as soon as possible."
He hopes to follow up on that and visit Chapel Hill on his first open weekend.
